Prop. JJJ ensures more affordable housing and the hiring of local workers. Developers who want zoning changes are now required to build some affordable housing and 30% of the construction workers have to be Angelenos who need the jobs most— including veterans, the homeless, single parents and those lacking a high school diploma. The proposition has minimum affordable housing requirements, training standards, and labor and wage regulations on development projects requiring zoning changes.
The Good News: In November, Scope Action and its coalition partners door knocked across Los Angeles to support Proposition JJJ. The measure is already making a positive impact on our communities. Ensuring that our community and family members more opportunities to secure housing and jobs.
